Frigid Fall Weather for Indiana
It is hard to believe this, but we are heading towards way-below-normal temperatures for this time of year! Summer ended just a month ago, and we seem to be gearing up for winter! A Freeze Warning is issued for the overnight hours and the morning in Northern Indiana, as well as counties in Northern Illinois, Eastern Iowa, three counties in Southern Michigan (Branch, Hillsdale, and Saint Joseph), four counties in Northwest Ohio (Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert, and Williams), and Southern Wisconsin. Expect below-freezing temperatures that might damage plants, so it is wise to cover them up as protection. Geographically below this warning, a belt of counties in the Midwest are under a Frost Advisory. These areas are Central and Southeast Illinois, Central and South-Central Indiana, the Southeast Iowa counties of Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Lee, and Van Buren, the Northeast Missouri counties of Clark and Scotland, Northern and Western Ohio.
