Alaska, the largest state in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, contains a vast amount of interesting facts! Did you know that...
- Alaska has over 3 million lakes
- Juneau, Alaska's capital, is the largest US city in size, spanning an area over 3,100 square miles
- Vitus Bering is the first European to explore Alaska in 1741. The Bering Strait and Bering Sea, located between RUSSIA and Alaska, are named after him.
