The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Le Sueur County in south central Minnesota...
Southwestern Rice County in south central Minnesota...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 1044 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Le Center, or 19 miles northeast of
Mankato, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near...
Faribault, Morristown and Warsaw around 1105 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include St
Henry, Kilkenny and Lake Jefferson.
This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 55 and 60.
