Stormy Weather in the Gulf
A Tropical Storm that is named Karen is heading in the direction of Gulf States. There is a Hurricane Warning in extreme Southeastern Louisiana, while the southern coasts of Alabama and Mississippi and the extreme western part of Florida's Panhandle are under a Hurricane Watch.
Wintry Weather Out West
While we are in the beginning of autumn, winter-like weather is already impacting areas of the Rocky Mountains and Western Great Plains. There is a Blizzard Warning for South Dakota and a Winter Storm Warning issued for parts of Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah (very small area in the northeast part of the state), and Wyoming.
