Water by Kuwait

A small petroleum-exporting country in the Middle East and Western Asia, KUWAIT is fortunate to have access to water for transporting its natural resources to other countries as exports. Kuwait is situated by the Persian Gulf, a saltwater body also bordering the countries of Bahrain (country comprised of more than 30 islands in the gulf), IranQatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. There are two bays within the larger Persian Gulf that are off of the coast of Kuwait: they are Jūn al Kuwayt (Kuwait Bay) and Khawr 'Abd Allāh. Jūn al Kuwayt is the larger of the two water bodies and is located north of Kuwait's capital, Kuwait City. It is also west of several small islands, the largest being Faylakah. Khawr 'Abd Allāh is east of Kuwait's largest island, Būbiyān, and south of extreme eastern Iraq.
