Canadian Provinces — Newfoundland & Labrador
Being the easternmost province in Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador is comprised of the mainland Labrador and the island of Newfoundland. The northernmost point of this province is north of the southern tip of Greenland. Dog breeds like the Labrador Retriever and Newfoundland originate in Newfoundland and Labrador. Both mainland Labrador and the island of Newfoundland are east of Quebec, while Newfoundland is also east of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Bays surrounding Newfoundland include Connoire Bay, Hermitage Bay, Notre Dame Bay, Port au Port Bay, and White Bay. Located on the far eastern part of Newfoundland on the Avalon Peninsula, the capital is Saint John's. National parks include Gros Morne N.P. and Terra Nova N.P.
