Canadian Provinces — Manitoba
Located in South-Central Canada, the province of Manitoba is west of Ontario, southwest of the Hudson Bay, and north of the U.S. states of Minnesota and North Dakota. Manitoba's northwest corner is part of a four-corners region; the Northwest Territories is northwest, Nunavut is north, and Saskatchewan is west of Manitoba. The capital, located in Southern Manitoba somewhat close to the United States border, is Winnipeg. It is the largest city in Manitoba. Towns and villages - some of which have interesting names - include Cranberry Portage, Gypsumville, Manigotagan, Norway House, and Red Sucker Lake. Lake Winnipeg, located in South-Central Manitoba north of the capital, is by far the largest lake in Manitoba. On the Hudson Bay shoreline in Northeastern Manitoba, you would find the historic Fort Churchill spaceport, Fort Prince of Wales National Historic Park, Wapusk National Park, and York Factory National Historic Site.
