Democratic President Barack Obama officially became a two-term president, but not after a little conflict. After countless media outlets named Obama as the next president — when he received over 270 electoral votes — Republican candidate and former-governor Mitt Romney wanted to be certain that the remaining votes for tallying in the important battleground states of Ohio and Florida could be in favor of him, which would result in a different electoral decision in both states and could affect the total electoral votes. After resolving the issue, Romney gave a concession speech, wishing President Obama good luck as he tackles partisan gridlock and the woes of America.

Barack Obama |
332 Electoral Votes |
51% Popular Vote
Mitt Romney |
206 Electoral Votes |

The other 2% voted for independent candidates like Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
