Kalahari Desert in Botswana

Botswana Week

The Kalahari Desert, which covers an area of 120,000 square miles and is the sixth largest desert* in the world, blankets southwestern BOTSWANA as well as areas of Angola, Namibia, and South Africa. Towns located within the Kalahari Desert include Dutlwe, Hunkuntsi, Kang, Mabutsang, Palamakoloi, and Tshane.

* Unless you include the Antarctic Polar and Arctic Polar deserts, which are technically the world's two largest deserts. The Sahara is the largest non-polar desert.
