People all across SLOVAKIA celebrated their country's Remembrance Day on Friday, July 17th. Slovakia commemorates the Anniversary of the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Slovak Republic (Výročie deklarácie o zvrchovanosti SR) in which Slovakia became an independent country after the peaceful separation of this country and the Czech Republic from Czechoslovakia. Happy belated Remembrance Day!
