Lots of Tornado Warnings Several Days Ago

Beginning in the evening hours of Sunday, October 20th and extending into Monday, October 21st, over 60 counties experienced a Tornado Warning — some more life-threatening than others. At the time of issuing these warnings, the U.S. National Weather Service noted that a "Damaging Tornado" affected several counties in southern Missouri (particularly Christian, Webster, and Wright counties) and in the Dallas, Texas metropolitan area. Thankfully, no one died in these life-threatening tornadoes and storms. Unfortunately, several people in Arkansas and Oklahoma passed away due to circumstances surrounding severe thunderstorms. The following counties and Louisiana parishes had a Tornado Warning issued by the National Weather Service starting Sunday evening and into Monday:

Arkansas: Benton, Carroll, Crittenden, Howard, Jefferson, Mississippi, Poinsett, Sevier, and Washington counties

Louisiana: Bossier, Caddo, Lafourche, Terrebonne, and Webster parishes

Mississippi: Holmes, Humphreys, Leflore counties

Missouri: Christian, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Laclede, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Pulaski, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright counties

Oklahoma: Adair, Bryan, Cherokee, Cleveland, Delaware, Hughes, Johnston, Marshall, McClain, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, and Seminole counties

Tennessee: Fayette, Hardeman, Lauderdale, Shelby, and Tipton counties

Texas: Bastrop, Cameron, Cass, Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Fayette, Hidalgo, Panola, Rains, Rusk, and Van Zandt counties
