The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Northeastern Mitchell County in north central Iowa...
Northwestern Howard County in northeastern Iowa...
South central Mower County in southeastern Minnesota...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 548 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Adams, or 13 miles southeast of Austin, moving
southeast at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Riceville around 630 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include County
Roads T 54 And A 31, McIntire, Johnsburg, Meyer, Bailey and County V
10 And 40th Street.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
