...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN POWESHIEK COUNTY...

At 729 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 9 miles east of
Montezuma, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Law enforcement confirmed a tornado again at 730pm
just northeast of Deep River crossing Highway 21.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Deep River and Guernsey.

This includes Interstate 80 near mile marker 204.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

If a tornado or other severe weather is spotted, report it to the
National Weather Service or your local nearest law enforcement agency
who will send your report. This act may save lives of others in the
path of dangerous weather.

* At 711 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Marengo, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Amana around 735 PM CDT.
Norway around 740 PM CDT.
Walford around 745 PM CDT.
Atkins around 755 PM CDT.
Cedar Rapids, Fairfax, Swisher and Shueyville around 800 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include East
Amana, Middle Amana, South Amana, Watkins, Homestead, West Amana,
High Amana, Cou Falls, Iowa County Fairgrounds and Cedar Rapids
Municipal Airport.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 218 and 219.
Interstate 380 between mile markers 8 and 12.

Central Iowa County in east central Iowa...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 716 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Millersburg, or 14 miles southwest of Marengo,
moving northeast at 15 mph. Another potential tornado was moving
into the southwestern Iowa County areas out of Poweshiek County as
well.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
Williamsburg, Ladora and Conroy around 800 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Genoa
Bluff, Lake Iowa Park, Koszta and Victor.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 205 and 227.
