The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southwestern Schuylkill County in central Pennsylvania...
Southern Northumberland County in central Pennsylvania...
* Until 430 PM EDT.
* At 358 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Rebuck, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Tree damage will occur. Damage to roofs, windows, and
vehicles is likely. Flying debris will be dangerous to
those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be
damaged or destroyed.
* This dangerous storm will be near...
Rebuck, Urban and Trevorton around 410 PM EDT.
Leck Kill, Klingerstown and Fairview-Ferndale around 420 PM EDT.
Tower City around 430 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Edgewood, Seven Points, Muir, Orwin, Hegins, Herndon, Pitman,
Schuykill County Airport and Pillow.
This includes Interstate 81 from mile markers 108 to 110.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
