Top Ten Map Exporters


MIT's Observatory of Economic Complexity (↗) allows you to explore a myriad of global trading data. The database of this website includes country-by-country import and export statistics that can be sorted with various displays: blocks (a "tree map"), line graphs, scatter plots, maps, etc. Speaking of maps, the following are the top ten countries exporting maps to other countries in the year 2015. Monetary values are in United States Dollars; percentages mean the share each country has in the global export market of maps.

#1 UNITED KINGDOM $98.8 million (38%)

#2 CHINA $28.4 million (11%)

#3 ITALY $22 million (8.4%)

#4 GERMANY $18.1 million (6.9%)

#5 UNITED STATES $13.8 million (5.2%)

#6 FRANCE $11.8 million (4.5%)

#7 The NETHERLANDS $7.53 million (2.9%)

#8 POLAND $6.81 million (2.6%)

#9 SPAIN $5.73 million (2.2%)

#10 BELGIUM + LUXEMBOURG $5.56 million (2.1%)
