Photo of the Day: Church in a Cavern

Today's Photo of the Day takes you to a serene cave setting with a Neo-Classical architectural surprise inside — the Temple of Valadier (Tempio del Valadier) church. This Christian "Refuge for Sinners" (church's nickname) essentially guards the entrance to the Grotte di Frasassi (Frasassi Caves) and is located in Ancona province of eastern ITALY. A brighter photo of this 19th-century building is National Geographic's Photo of the Day.
