Finland Endangered Species


As of July 28th, 2015, the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ for FINLAND in northern Europe lists three critically endangered species and five endangered species. Fortunately, Finland does not have any extinct species on the IUCN Red List. The critically endangered species are the following: European Eel, Coregonus trybomi freshwater whitefish, and European Mink. Endangered species in Finland are the Atlantic Bluefin Tuna, Freshwater Pearl Mussel, Thick-shelled River Mussel, Velvet Scoter (Velvet Duck), and Yellow-breasted bunting.
