Phuket Island

In the eastern fringe of the Indian Ocean, Phuket is an island of southern THAILAND. West of the Malay Peninsula, Phuket is Thailand's largest island and is east of the Andaman Sea and northeast of the Strait of Malacca. On the island's southeast coast, Phuket is the largest city. Other communities include Mai Khao and Pa Klok in the north, Ko Phuket and Si Sunthon in the center, and Patong and Rawai in the south. Lastly, the island has an extensive transportation network of roads.
