Some Facts About Burkina Faso

BURKINA FASO, located in West Africa, is a small country that borders six countries. It is located north of, from left to right, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Benin. Burkina Faso is south of Mali and west of the southwestern panhandle of Niger. Ouagadougou is the capital and was a destination for a previous season of CBS's popular The Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan. The country's population is about 18.6 million, and it achieved independence from France in the year 1960.
