Indiana County Seats Named After Countries & Capitals


There are a total of five Indiana county seats named after countries and capitals of countries: Angola, the county seat of STEUBEN county (in the northeast corner of the state); Brazil, the county seat of CLAY county in southwestern Indiana; Lebanon, the county seat of BOONE county in central Indiana; Peru, the county seat of MIAMI county in north-central Indiana; and Warsaw, the county seat of KOSCIUSKO county in northern Indiana.
