On Amazing Race | Last Week (April 15)

In last week's Amazing Race, teams completed challenges in the same country, TANZANIA, as the week before. Near the Ngorongoro Crater, teams are enthusiastic about seeing a vast array of animals, including zebras, lions, baboons, ostrich, hyenas, giraffes, and elephants as they head to Karatu, Tanzania, a town located only about 8 miles southeast of the crater. There, teams received the next clue at a stall named Hillary Clington!

The clue brought teams to a Detour, where contenders can choose from two tasks like always. In Water Supply, only one team (Art and JJ) filled up 9 pretty heavy jugs with water - and had to wait in a long line to the well as they appreciated the more convenient access to water in the USA. In Air Supply, the teams of Bopper-Mark, Rachel-Dave, Brendon-Rachel, Vanessa-Ralph, and Nary-Jamie had to find punctures in air pumps and tape over them and then pump up local boys’ bicycle tires. A team would receive their next clue once the boy was able to ride his bike again.

At a pub about 3 kilometers away from the Detour challenges, teams had the ability to U-Turn other teams, forcing them to complete the other challenge as well. Art and JJ U-Turned Brendon and Rachel, then Brendon and Rachel U-Turned Vanessa and Ralph once they arrived at the U-Turn board. Nary and Jamie, who were last in the Easter non-elimination episode, had to complete an additional challenge at Gem Gallery & Arts - they had to put together a display 'pieces-of the-puzzle style' to look like a given piece of art work. Next in the episode, all teams went to an apiary where they had to get 500 grams of honey and honeycombs from beehives. The Pit Stop was at Lake Manyara, a shallow and elongated lake southeast of Karatu. Bopper and Mark placed 1st, while Nary and Jamie placed last and were eliminated. Of course, they were grateful for the experiences that they will cherish for years to come.

 PLACINGS
 1st - Bopper & Mark
 2nd - Rachel & Dave
 3rd - Art & JJ
 4th - Brendon & Rachel
 5th - Vanessa & Ralph
 6th (eliminated) - Nary & Jamie

Quick Synopsis of Tonight's Episode (April 22nd): Tonight, teams travelled to INDIA. Bopper & Mark came in last, but the two Kentuckians lucked out as it was a non-elimination round.

Later Update and Spoiler Alert (May 6): The Amazing Race Season 20 winning contenders and the winner of $1 million are Rachel & Dave!
