Tragedy at the Indiana State Fair of 2011
For many visitors, the 2011 Indiana State Fair was full of good memories. For less fortunate visitors on Saturday night, the fair turned into a nightmare and/or a deadly tragedy. Five people have passed away after the scaffolding over the concert grand stand fell from the force of strong storm winds; Sugarland was scheduled to perform soon for many fans. Many people, who I would call "guardian angels," did prevent the situation from becoming more deadly by helping those who were trapped under the scaffolding. If it weren't for their actions, many more lives might have been lost. I send my deepest sympathy for the victims and their families while I send thanks to the guardian angels who did all that they could to save lives. ~ The GeoWhiz
