Germany Week in August

BAVARIA, also known as Bayern, is located in southeastern GERMANY and is the largest state in Germany. The capital is Munich (München in German), which has a population over 1 million. Other cities, which have 100,000-1 million inhabitants, include Augsburg, Erlangen, Fürth, and Nuremberg. The Bavarian Alps, Bohemian Forest, and Fränkische Alb (a.k.a. Franconian Jura) are just some of the mountain ranges located in Bavaria.
