...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CST FOR
NORTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND...NORTHERN WHITE AND SOUTHERN PUTNAM
COUNTIES...

At 205 AM CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located near Cookeville, moving east at 45 mph.

Update: the National Weather Service canceled this particular alert.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

The tornado will be near...
Monterey around 220 AM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Burgess Falls State Park, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads and
Pleasant Hill.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 278 and 310.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a large, extremely dangerous and potentially deadly
tornado is on the ground. To protect your life, TAKE COVER NOW! Move
to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!

At 157 AM CST, a confirmed tornado was located over Algood, or near
Cookeville, moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornado will be near...
Monterey around 210 AM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Crawford, Rickman and Cummins Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 281 and 302.
