The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
West central New Madrid County in southeastern Missouri...
Southeastern Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...
* Until 1045 PM CST.
Update: the National Weather Service canceled this particular alert.
* At 1009 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Malden, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Parma, Risco and Catron.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not

* Until 1045 PM CST.
* At 1000 PM CST, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
producing a tornado was located near Malden, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
