The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Mecklenburg County in south central Virginia...
West central Greensville County in southeastern Virginia...
Brunswick County in south central Virginia...
* Until 930 PM EDT.
* At 853 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 8 miles southwest of La Crosse, or 9 miles southwest of
South Hill, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

South Hill, La Crosse and Ebony around 905 PM EDT.
Brodnax around 910 PM EDT.
Brunswick around 915 PM EDT.
Lawrenceville around 920 PM EDT.
Alberta around 925 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Ante,
Cochran, Beechwood, Dolphin, Bowens Corner, White Plains, Warfield,
Meredithville, Forksville and Bracey.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
