The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
West central Pinellas County in west central Florida...
* Until 945 PM EDT.
* At 902 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles southwest of Bay Pines, or 8 miles southwest of
Seminole, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near...
Redington Beach around 925 PM EDT.
Bay Pines around 930 PM EDT.
Seminole around 935 PM EDT.
Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Ridgecrest, Harbor Bluffs and
West And East Lealman around 945 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Belleair Bluffs, Indian Shores, Walsingham Park, Belleair Shore,
North Redington Beach, Belleair Beach, Redington Shores, Madeira
Beach and Belleair.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile
home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and
protect yourself from flying debris.
