What in the World? Country #8
The world's newest country being formed from the former largest country in Africa, I am located in north-central Africa. Unfortunately, bouts of civil unrest and ethnic conflicts occur within my borders. I have a petroleum industry encompassing a large part of government revenues. Pipelines deliver oil through my neighbor's territory, so I am trying to figure out the proper share of revenues this neighbor of mine can receive. My neighbor helps deliver oil to ports on the Red Sea and refining it. The White Nile river flows north and south through me, and my capital and largest city - Juba - is located beside it. My official language is English, and recognized languages include Bari, Dinka, Merle, Nuer, and Zande. There are many more languages and ethnicities living in me. What country am I? Scroll below for answer...
Answer: SOUTH SUDAN
