Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Arkansas, North to South
Believe it or not, there is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning as of 7:35 P.M. Central Time, October 2nd that goes all the way from Arkansas' northern border with Missouri to the southern and southwestern borders with Louisiana and Texas. This warning is seen in the image above from the National Weather Service in Little Rock, Arkansas. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings usually cover several counties, but rarely do they cover the whole length of a state!
There is a Tornado Watch until 2 A.M. Central Time, October 3rd for counties in Arkansas (almost the entire state), southern Illinois, extreme western Kentucky, northern Louisiana, northwestern Mississippi, southeast Missouri, western Tennessee, and four counties in northeastern Texas (Bowie, Cass, Harrison, and Marion). Unlike Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, Tornado Watches usually do encompass large areas of states.
