Lake Effect Snow for Michiana

Lake Effect Snow map

According to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana and Chicago, a Lake Effect Snow Watch is for Berrien County in Southwest Michigan and the Indiana counties of LaPorte, Porter, Saint Joseph, and Starke in Northern Indiana. The Northern Indiana bureau (in North Webster, IN) predicts that one to two feet of snow could fall especially in LaPorte and Starke counties - undoubtedly resulting in a winter wonderland for the kids once it is over, but maybe not a pleasant sight for drivers! Meanwhile, the Chicago bureau predicts that some areas of Porter County may receive around a foot of snow, give or take, once this lake effect snow system is over. It is possible for low visibilities if winds pick up and blow snow around.
