Some Indiana Counties Restrict Road Travel

Due to the extreme road conditions brought on by the wintry weather, Indiana Department of Transportation's County Travel Status webpage reports that multiple counties in Indiana have travel warnings, where local officials warn that drivers should not drive unless it is an emergency. In some counties, drivers who are caught on the road may receive a hefty fine.

The counties that have travel warnings as of 2:00 A.M. Eastern Time are spread throughout the state, mostly in Eastern and North Central Indiana. From north to south, they are Steuben, Fulton, Huntington, Wabash, Jay, Clinton, Tipton, Randolph, Rush, Union, Decatur, and Jefferson counties.
