Updated 10:24 P.M. Eastern Time / 9:24 P.M. Central Time: For Northern Genesee County and Southern Lapeer County in Michigan, there is a TORNADO WARNING. There was a Tornado Warning south of Joliet in Will County, Illinois, but that has expired (9:03 P.M. Central Time). There also was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central and Southern Cook, extreme Eastern DuPage, all of Kankakee, and most of Will Counties, but has expired. There is still a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for counties in Northern Indiana and the counties of Berrien, Branch, Cass, Hillsdale, and Saint Joseph counties in Michigan.
There are weather alerts elsewhere, including a TORNADO WATCH spanning Southern Iowa, Northeast Kansas, Northern Missouri, and Southeast Nebraska; and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings in Western Nebraska and the Texas Panhandle (Southern Oldham and Western Deaf Smith Counties). Check the National Weather Service for the latest updates.
