Officially known as the Republic of Serbia (Republika Srbija), SERBIA (Srbija) was formerly part of Yugoslavia and is located in Southeastern Europe. Serbia borders 8 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina located to the west of Serbia, Bulgaria to the east, Croatia to the west, Hungary to the north, Kosovo to the south, Macedonia to the south, Montenegro to the southwest, and Romania to the northeast.
