Lake Eyre

AustraliaLake Eyre, located in AUSTRALIA, is the lowest point in Australia and Oceania. It is around 49 feet below sea level and is located in the large Lake Eyre Basin. This lake is located in the northeast in the province of South Australia. Typically a dry or extremely saline lake, Lake Eyre is sometimes known as Australia's largest lake when it is water-filled. At least one species — the Eyrean Grasswren bird — is named after Lake Eyre. By the way, Canberra — not Sydney, contrary to popular belief — serves as the national capital of Australia!
