On Amazing Race | Easter
In the Amazing Race episode on Easter, contenders left Baku, AZERBAIJAN's capital, to fly to Kilimanjaro, TANZANIA (in northeastern Tanzania) but not without a layover in Nairobi, KENYA. As the teams were ready to head out of the Kilimanjaro International Airport, Rachel and Brandon once again had a little quarrel with Vanessa and Ralph! Next, the teams went to the Arusha Airport to catch planes that flew over gorgeous, Tanzanian terrain. After getting off about 70-75 miles west of Arusha, teams drove near the Ngorongoro Crater.
In the Detour, which was located near the crater, teams chose to do either Marksmanship or Courtship challenges. Four teams, Art & JJ, Rachel & Dave, Nary & Jamie, and Vanessa & Ralph, completed Marksmanship, where each member had to shoot a clay target that rotated on a wheel. The other two teams, Big Brother stars Rachel & Brendon and Bopper & Mark, completed Courtship, where they simply had to do a dancing ritual that consisted of high jumping for about one minute; therefore, Rachel and Brendon moved up to first after having a good time jumping!
Located on the western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, Simba Campsite was the next setting for the last challenge of the episode: pitching large tents and setting up showers. It proved to be a rather time-consuming challenge as teams were worried about constructing the tents wrong and having to start all over later. Rachel & Dave arrived at the nearby Pit Stop first, earning a trip to COSTA RICA. Bopper & Mark were 2nd, Art & JJ were 3rd, Brendon & Rachel ended up 4th, Vanessa & Ralph were 5th, while Nary & Jamie finished last; fortunately for Nary & Jamie, it was a non-elimination round, so we'll see if they can overcome the extra challenge next Sunday and save themselves from last place!
