Three counties, LAPEER, LENAWEE, & SHIAWASSEE, have populations between 65,001 and 150,000. TUSCOLA county, whose county seat is Caro, has almost 56,000 residents. Lastly, HILLSDALE, HURON, & SANILAC counties have populations that are less than 50,000. Huron county, whose county seat is Bad Axe, is the least populated county in SE Michigan, having around 33,000 residents.
