A 'Warm' New Year's Eve for Indiana

On New Year's Eve, communities and counties across Indiana are going to experience a unique phenomenon for this time of year in which temperatures will top out, especially from 2-4 p.m., in the mid 40's to lower 50's! As seen in the current season so far, snowfall amounts are much lower than normal and temperatures are higher than normal! Therefore, this winter season satisfies those who hate having to shovel and drive through snow and ice! Regarding the temperatures for New Year's Eve, Monticello and surrounding areas in WHITE county will top out at 50 degrees at 4 P.M., while temperatures of 48-49 degrees will surface in cities south of Monticello, like Lafayette (in TIPPECANOE county), Frankfort (CLINTON), Crawsfordsville (MONTGOMERY), Lebanon (BOONE), Carmel (HAMILTON), among others. The temperature of 46 degrees blankets the cities located in eastern, northern, and northwestern Indiana, including Plymouth (MARSHALL), South Bend (ST. JOSEPH), Crown Point (LAKE), Rensselaer (JASPER), Wabash (WABASH), Marion (GRANT), Kokomo (HOWARD), Berne (ADAMS), Fort Wayne (ALLEN) and more. The area stretching from Warsaw (KOSCIUSKO) to Fremont (STEUBEN), however, will be slightly cooler, but yet still warmer than the average for the end of December. The grass is green and the air is free of snow and brutally cold temperatures in Indiana, so Hoosiers, enjoy it while it lasts :)
