Luxembourg
LUXEMBOURG (Lëtzebuerg in the Luxembourgish language) is a wealthy and small-area country in Western Europe, similar in size and wealth to Western European countries such as Andorra and Monaco. As of 2013, Luxembourg is 6th in the GDP per capita, although it formerly had the 3rd highest GDP per capita several years ago (2009). Based on 2013 data, Luxembourg's GDP per capita is behind Qatar (1st), Liechtenstein, Macau, Bermuda (not a country but a territory), and Monaco. Luxembourg is north of France, southeast of Belgium, and west of Germany. The capital of Luxembourg is Luxembourg. According to Encyclopædia Britannica, Luxembourg’s population in the year 2020 is about 633,100 and is ranked 171st among populations of the whole world’s countries, dependencies, and territories. The former currency of Luxembourg was the Luxembourgian Franc, and its ISO 4217 currency code was LUF. Luxembourgers used this currency until 2002, when the Euro took over.
