The Amazing Race 32, Episode 10 Recap

The Amazing Race’s tenth episode of Season 32 aired on Wednesday, December 2nd and was set in the city of Siem Reap (Sĭemréab) — located north of the Tônlé Sap lake in western CAMBODIA.

● Episode 10 info on CBS — The final five teams race through Siem Reap, Cambodia, where they face the second and final Double U-Turn of the season.

● Teams visited the Psar Chaa (Old Market) and searched for marked tuk-tuks containing a Travelocity Roaming Gnome. Teams helped a local driver fix his or her tuk-tuk then proceeded to a Tônlé Sap lake pier by the Chong Kneas floating village. At Chong Kneas, teams visited a floating Buddhist temple and gifted a donation basket to a monk before receiving their next clue.

Detour, choice between “Fish” or “Farm”: teams choosing the Fish option pulled a 3,280-foot fishing net through a device that captures the fish. After completing the task of pulling the whole net, teams had to weigh the fish in hopes of achieving at least 15 kilograms in weight. Aparna/Eswar, DeAngelo/Gary, and Maddison/Riley chose and completed this task.

Teams choosing the Farm option recreated a floating garden by tilling the soil, planting various vegetation and vegetables, and also planting seeds from the Travelocity gnome’s satchel. Chee/Hung and James/Will chose and completed this task.

Double U-Turn: even though Maddison and Riley tried to U-Turn DeAngelo and Gary, DeAngelo/Gary already passed the U-Turn before Maddison/Riley arrived. DeAngelo/Gary's first U-Turn of Aparna and Eswar (who didn't arrive yet) was the one that came into effect, so Aparna/Eswar had to complete both tasks before proceeding to the next step.

● Teams returned to Siem Reap and visited Khmer Floor Handicraft. “Who Thinks They Can Fit the Mold?” Roadblock: teams created floor tiles based on local crafting tradition. They poured various colored paint into mold slots and made sure not to break the delicate, solidified tiles. Teams then had to solve a tile-inspired slide puzzle featuring the Travelocity gnome on the puzzle’s surface.

Pit Stop: Siem Reap’s Angkor Thom ancient walled city (east gate) — somewhat similar albeit less mighty than Angkor Wat

● Episode 11 will take place in Manila, the national capital of the PHILIPPINES.
