People all across MALAYSIA celebrated their country's Malaysia Day on Wednesday, September 16th. Following independence from The United Kingdom on August 31st, 1957, Malaysia was created on September 16th, 1963 from several united entities: Federation of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore. Singapore separated from Malaysia two years later. Happy belated Malaysia Day!
