E Countries


List of 'E' countries around the world — there are currently eight of them

The A to Z categories are based on the English language and inadvertently might not include all native country names.

EAST TIMOR (Timor-Leste): The only 'E' country in Asia, East Timor has a population over 1 million. The capital is Dili.

ECUADOR: The only 'E' country in South America, Ecuador is home to over 15 million residents. The capital is Quito, while the most-populated city is Guayaquil.

EGYPT: One of four 'E' countries in Africa, Egypt has a population over 82 million. The capital is Cairo, which is situated along the Nile River.

EL SALVADOR: The only 'E' country in Central America, El Salvador has a population over 6 million. The capital is San Salvador.

EQUATORIAL GUINEA: One of four 'E' countries in Africa, Equatorial Guinea has a population over 700,000. The capital, located on the island of Bioko, is Malabo.

ERITREA: One of four 'E' countries in Africa, Eritrea is home to over 5 million people. The capital is Asmara.

ESTONIA: The only 'E' country in Europe, Estonia has a population over 1 million. Tallinn is the capital and is situated on the northern coast, bordering the Gulf of Finland.

ETHIOPIA: One of four 'E' countries in Africa, Ethiopia has the highest population compared to other 'E' countries. Ethiopia contains almost 85 million residents as of 2012. The capital, located in the center of Ethiopia, is Addis Ababa.
