Arkansas Towns with Interesting Names


The state of Arkansas in the Southern UNITED STATES includes an abundance of towns with unusual, noteworthy names. Below are road maps of just several of these towns. The maps below are derived from the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) Highway Map (PDF file). If you are familiar with other towns in The Natural State or elsewhere that have whimsical or just plain funny names, please let me know with a comment!

Beverage Town (southern Van Buren County)

Blue Eye (northeastern Carroll County)
Blue Eye, Arkansas has a population of 30 (2010 Census) and is located across the border from Blue Eye, Missouri (population 167) in Stone County.

Village (eastern Columbia County)
There aren't many towns or villages that are simply named "Village". Southwestern Arkansas has one of those!
