Kyrgyzstan Endangered Species


The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ for KYRGYZSTAN in Central Asia lists 7 critically endangered species and 13 endangered species. There are fortunately no extinct species in Kyrgyzstan, or at least there are none listed by the IUCN. Kyrgyzstan's critically endangered species are the Ammopiptanthus nanus flower, Calligonum calcareum plant, Crataegus knorringiana tree (sometimes called Glóg), Polygonum toktogulicum tree, Pyrus korshinskyi tree, Sibiraea tianschanica tree, and Sociable Lapwing. Endangered species include the Dhole wild dog (canid), Egyptian Vulture, Shrubby Buckwheat, Snow Leopard, Steppe Eagle, Tiger, White-headed Duck, and Wild Apricot.
